Eckraal Quarries was founded in 1995 when Edward Cuyvers purchased the mining ground in the Rosslyn area North of Johannesburg.  Over the next year he set about equipping the quarry with the necessary machinery and it was opened for sales to the public in 1996.

 

In 1998 the Rama Community executed a land claim and were duly welcomed as partners in the mining and operations of Eckraal Quarries who have, in turn, dedicated their time and resources to ensure that the community has been fully integrated into the day to day operations.

 

From the onset customers have always been ensured of quality products and excellent service.  Due to growing success, production was increased to meet the demands.

 

In 2006 Eckraal Quarries was purchased by Ken Stricker and the business has grown monumentally as decisions were made to purchase new machinery and to increase the product range in order to meet the ever growing demand.

 

Eckraal Quarries’ core business is to supply small and large ‘civil’ companies within a one hundred kilometer radius.

 

The quarry also believes in assisting small enterprises to develop and thrive, and in doing so offer assistance, advice and discounts.
